Intellectual Property Rights and Green Energy Technologies

Technology transfer is a central issue in international climate negotiations

There is a growing recognition that the transfer of green energy technology has a crucial role to play in international efforts to tackle climate change. While technology transfer is a central issue in international climate negotiations, intellectual property rights are increasingly raised as a challenge to be overcome in this regard. Greens/EFA presented a workshop to provide a forum for open discussion with experts in the field in an attempt to shed more light on what is a complex area, as well as making progress towards defining a common approach.
